Qur’anic Arabic Intermediate Level 1 (Course 4)

QA -201 is specifically designed for students who have completed QA- 101. Its aim is further consolidate a basic vocabulary as well as a grasp of fundamental grammatical structures utilizing frequently occurring Quranic words so that you capable of understanding and communicating in both spoken and written Arabic. There will be approximately 8 contact hours per day during which 5 modules will be taught.

Intermediate 1 Course Prerequisites

1. Participants must have finished QA- 101
2. Participants will be assessed prior to entry in the Qur’anic Arabic Programmes.

Course Content

A sound understanding of
1. Form 1 verbs, present form
2. Irregular verbs
3. The subjunctive, jussive and imperative
4. Passive of the present tense
5. Present tense of qala
6. Present tense of kana
7. Active and passive participles
8. Words from verbs
9. Forms II to X verbs
10. Conditional sentences
