Welcome to KnowledgeSeekers (KS) Residential Courses Homepage. KS is part of the educational wing of ISB and runs regional and national Courses. For the first time 5 exceptional Courses will be run concurrently.

The KS team has a wealth of experience having run Courses for over 8 years, so rest assured this will insha’Allah be a great educational and spiritual experience for you!! (see feedback from Previous Years)

There is opportunity to firm up your foundations with Course 1, understanding our Society and how to engage with it (Course 2), and 3 levels of Qur’anic Arabic (Courses 3,4 and 5). All Courses are for 10 days duration and applicants must attend the entire programme if they wish to come.  

Course 1:  Foundation Course in Islamic Studies more

‘O My Lord, Advance me in knowledge’ Surah Taha

-10 days learning the essentials of Islam

Modules include:
Tajweed; Tafseer; Aqeedah - Articles of Faith; ‘Ibadah - Fiqh of Taharah & Salah; Sirah; ‘Uloom ul Qur'an; ‘Uloom ul Hadith; ‘Usool ul Fiqh; Spiritual development; Family Life

Course 2: Da'wah Training   more

‘O my Lord, bestow wisdom on me and join me with the righteous’ Surah Ash-Shu’ara

- A ten day specialised course offering students in-depth insight, confidence and skills in communicating the message of Islam.

Modules include:
Understanding Da'wah, Fiqh of Da'wah, Heart and Tongue in Da'wah, The British Context: Muslims and the Wider Public, Arena of Da'wah and practical modules: Cyber-Da'wah and Verbal Da'wah (one-to-one and media training)

- 10 days each learning the language of the Qur’an and Paradise

Conversational Arabic; Tajweed; Tafsir (medium-English); Qur’anic Translation; Qur’anic Grammar (Genders, cases, adjectival endings, plurals, prepositions and the formation and use of the past tense of Form I verbs)

Course 4: Intermediate 1   more
Conversational Arabic; Tajweed; Tafsir (medium-English); Qur’anic Translation; Qur’anic Grammar (Formation and use of present tense verbs, with different moods and forms. Derived words from verbs; Forms II to X verbs.

Course 5: Intermediate 2  more
Conversational Arabic; Tajweed; Classical Tafsir (medium-Arabic); Unvowelled Qur’anic Translation; Qur’anic Grammar and Linguistics
