Neighbours Exhibition
It's no soap opera, everybody does need good neighbours. But what and who are your neighbours? Are they just at numbers 45 and 49? Who, is neighbouring you? It's a shrinking world they say. We are all wired up and connected to one another. But when we take another look, we see our neighbours. Religion neighbours religion, town neighbours town, race neighbours race. Lands neighbour oceans, animals neighbour plants, the earth neighbours the skies. Mrs Smith neighbours Mrs Siddiqi, Adrian neighbours Ali, Dr Kenning neighbours Dr Khan. We all need good neighbours. A good neighbour is a gift, something to cherish. Good people want to be good neighbours. They know in their hearts what tremendous strength, peace and satisfaction good neighbourliness brings. And the cause of justice it ultimately serves. Humanity, that intelligent and foolish creature, has been granted the gift of consciousness, the ability to choose. Islam teaches that God has chosen humanity as His ambassadors on planet earth. We can fill it with green, or we can fill it with greed. So welcome to NEIGHBOURS - a poster celebration of some jolly nice people from the British Muslim community.
