Membership

We cater for the whole family and membership is open to all Muslims irrespective of gender, age or background. We try to maintain a structure that is open and flexible so that each member can shape the organisation and help to build it.

The Islamic Society of Britain (ISB) has local branches across the country. Its decision making body is the national Council - comprising of all the Branch Presidents and representatives from all the major sections of the organisation. The organisation is led by a President and an executive team of project heads. The President and Council are elected every two years by the membership.

Annual members meetings provide a formal setting for members to elect, decide on policy issues, advise and question the leadership, exchange views and opinions and help shape the organisation.
